REUNION OF TECHNICAL COMMITTEE MEETING OF THE PANEL DISCUSSION
Today Tuesday July 22, 2008, at the premises of the District Municipality of Pacocha at 4:10 pm met members of the Roundtable Expanded Ilo (MDA), the Vice Minister Mine: Felipe Isasi Cayo, General Office MINEM Social Management: Sandra Castro Tovar, District Mayor of El Algarrbal: Elva Davila Valdivia, District Mayor of Pacocha: Aragon Arturo Cornejo, Alcalde Provincial de Ilo: Jorge Mendoza Perez Representatives Civil Society: Alejandro Leon Palomino, Maritza Delgado Perea Ortega and Walter Condori, representatives of the Southern Peru: William Torres Pino, Rodolfo Vicetti Valverde, Manuel Sierra López, Darío Oviedo Cesar Calderon and Diban Montes de Oca, Representative of the Ombudsman's Office: Hector Chavez Cuba.
Mr. Vice Minister of Mines proceeded to give welcoming remarks to the members present and gave the reasons why we could not make the presence of representatives of the PCM (Bad weather at the airport in Tacna)
agreements were reached following:
- The request MINEM OSINERGMIN audit reports of mining health and safety of the Ilo copper smelter for subsequent delivery to members of the Bureau.
- accepted the proposal of the Ombudsman relating to the entity presented at the next supervision session a report on institutional portals of municipalities in the province of Ilo on environmental monitoring.
- The MINEM shall issue invitations to SUNASS and SADAPAL to request technical assistance regarding technology to be considered in the plant wastewater tratamineto the city of Ilo. To this end coordinate with civil society representatives.
- Ask the Ombudsman's participation in the Technical Committee for the status of the recommendations made in the Ombudsman's Report 94, 124 and 125.
- instruct the Executive Committee carry out an assessment on the progress of this Roundtable.
- Accept the proposal from the company that has ratified the members of the Executive Committee its proposal to co-participate in at least one third, in financing projects that are prioritized in the Bureau, within which are the draft plant wastewater treatment. For additional funding, ie two thirds, the Bureau will seek, through a framework agreement, the financial assistance of regional and local authority.
- Make the next meeting on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 4:00 PM on the premises of the District Municipality of Pacocha, with the agenda and reports of the Technical and Executive Committees.
