We
to the mother!, Stop the war!, Justice! was the rallying cry in the marches in 20 states, rallies continue we are sure that the anger, pissed off citizen continues.
Tens of thousands of Mexicans marched on April 6 to protest the lack of security and at the inability or complicity of the governments of different political parties in power, among which are the main way the PAN and the PRI. Felipe Calderón Hinojosa directly responsible since the presidency of the republic of tremendous chaos of "his" war on drugs, whose only result is almost 40 thousand dead, is asked why nothing has been achieved with its bloody war, where have also dropped dozens of social activists who besides being dead are defamed by goldfinches who use and abuse of its status as journalists. We are confident that the just demand for an end to this war, which is seeking a new strategy to fight the cancer of narco-business, where we reiterate: The victims are workers and children of workers, while the beneficiaries are entrepreneurs, businessmen and politicians narco. Socialismo Revolucionario
Mexico (SRM) has started since last month a debate where we note the urgent need in the public forum, representatives of workers in the city and countryside and progressive intellectuals comment, and discuss the need legalize drugs. Not to allow and encourage consumption, but to close one of the major sources of corruption, stemming from the alliance between drug traffickers and government officials, from top officials to local police and dramatically reduce the price of drugs and thus the accumulation of wealth by the drug lords.
We realize that many think otherwise, they will oppose the legalization of drugs, but we should stop and real regret is that it is urgent to initiate a debate to find consensual solutions from the base of civil society, proposed solutions involved where the working class and progressive intellectuals. Urge the debate to remove hacks from the news and politicians who have failed to resolve the problem and are partially responsible for the 40 thousand dead in 4 years in office Calderon. We noted in an article published on Tuesday March 29 2011 DEBATE Classist: Legalizing drugs is an urgent need for proposed solutions, and reproduced the proposal of the researcher at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, Victor Orozco one of the states where organized crime killing so cowardly and unpunished daily equally innocent citizens and social activists. Victor Orozco, professor of history at the University of Chihuahua and Mexican political analyst introduces the debate essential elements that make us reflect on the need to legalize drugs. A serious analysis and an initial proposal for the urgent and necessary debate. Socialismo Revolucionario Mexico (SRM), takes his position under the reality that the leaders of the drug are criminal entrepreneurs, and no one will deny that as entrepreneurs within the capitalist system as Carlos Slim, Azcarraga Jean, Salinas Pliego and other forbes millionaires looking for quick profit, no matter the means to achieve it. No one will deny that the beneficiaries of laundering more than 25 billion dollars a year, fortune equal to that of the country's oil revenues or the total sum of remittances from Mexicans working abroad are entrepreneurs. Nobody will deny that the 25 billion dollars a year product of organized crime that are washed are invested in many companies of "famous" entrepreneurs or their banks. No one will deny that the huge profits of drug trafficking and organized crime have used to pay for political campaigns in government. It still echoes in the corridors of the charge Ye Gon's Chinese "couplets or neck" candidate accusing the PAN and current Labor Secretary Javier Lozano Alarcón. reproduce below part of the article to the university researcher Victor Orozco Chihuahua:
"The ban and the battle front with the market who have apparently led to disaster in which we live. There is no way out. I discuss below some of the reasons given by those who are fully convinced that legalization would be a plausible way of solution:
Decrease violence in the streets and the disintegration of social fabric. Both are directly linked to the dispute over the squares and the dominance of routes to major consumption centers, especially the United States.
be blinded by one of the biggest sources of corruption, stemming from the alliance between drug traffickers and government officials, from top officials to local police.
is dramatically reduced drug prices and hence the accumulation of wealth by the drug lords.
It would monitor the quality of substances, preventing 80% of deaths from consumption, originating in artificial aggregates to the original drug, would no longer be
of wasting hundreds of billions of dollars in a fight that makes no sense because it is impossible to stop it.
campaigns could be implemented to prevent and discourage consumption much more effective. The success in significantly reducing smoking, is an example of this.
It would remove one of the pretexts of governments to inflate to the military and human rights abuses.
be eliminated one of the pretexts put forward by U.S. government agencies and U.S. groups that show greater aggression towards Latin American countries to mount the interventionist actions in them.
me questions remains unanswered: would decrease legalizing the consumption of drugs?. Those who argue that fighting the proposal would increase. We do not know, but perhaps what matters most to the huge majority do not addicted is to avoid the evils resulting from the defect side. Heavy smokers, for example, do not harm others if you take some minimal precautions, though of course, society pays the price for premature deaths and costs of smoking-related illnesses.
Find medicine for a sick society today is how Mexican is certainly an arduous task. In view of the results, know that the measures taken by the government rather than the relief, have led to the escalation of evil. We will be able to sing any victory when the living conditions and opportunities for the achievement of individuals or communities have improved substantially. This will raise their sights above the miseries to which they are washed daily. Meanwhile
remedies should be sought. In 1934, just took office as U.S. president, Franklin D Roosevelt announced that rehearse over and over possible solutions to the economic crisis. If an attempt fails, he argued, will undertake a second, third and so follow him, but the worst thing I can do is stand idly by while millions of families have only the essentials for survival. Not worth considering here if success or not commitment, but if the weight is attitude so necessary in today's Mexico. "
